The Melon Project exists as a US based 501(c)3 organization to support Melon Mission, a community organization and day school in Nakuru, Kenya, that provides education, food, clothing, health care, and other basic needs for more than 400 school-age children and their caregivers living in Kwa Rhoda village. The village is a densely populated, informal settlement within the city that is plagued by the challenges that come with generational poverty.

The Melon Project aims to project Melon Mission's voice in the world for the children they serve and provide financial and material support for the school's programs, services, and goals. The Melon Project is firmly aligned with Melon Mission in the belief that all children deserve opportunities to fulfill their potential and have the right to a promising future.
